Briana Banks (born November 3, 1977) is a model and actress who was Penthouse Pet for the month of September 2000. She is 5'6" and her measurements are 34D-25-35.

Giovanni got her start in modelling on October 1, 1999 when she began appearing on various amateur pornography websites such as Amateur Pink, Busty Amateurs, and Seductive Amateurs.

In 2000, she was introduced to glamour photographer Suze Randall, who in May shot photos of Giovanni which soon appeared in Penthouse magazine. At the same time, she also appeared on Bomis, posing clothed for a Ferrari giveaway contest.

Born in Munich, Germany, Briana moved to Britain and then to the United States when she was 7 years old. She chose U.S. citizenship when she was 18. She had various jobs in her late teens as she looked to support herself and her younger sister. At 19, she "quit" her job as an insurance auditor, and responded to a modelling ad in the newspaper to pay the rent.

Career

Something of a late bloomer, Briana began her career doing nude modeling for a number of adult magazines. Her first film was in University Coeds 18. She first entered the industry under the name 'Mirage', but changed this on the advice of fellow star, Lita. She did this in 1999 after having the first of two breast enlargement operations. After an appearance in Penthouse magazine as Pet of the Month in June 2001, Banks became one of the most recognized porn stars in the adult industry, and is often spoken of as heir apparent to Jenna Jameson's title of "Queen of Porn" (the two have had an on- and off-camera relationship for some time). Briana Loves Jenna is one of the most popular adult films of recent years, and one of Briana's personal favourites. (Briana was so nervous before meeting Jenna for the first time that she threw up in front of her when they met, much to Briana's embarassment. This actually endeared her to Jenna.)

As a major difference from Jenna, Briana frequently practices more hardcore things in her films, such as anal sex, ass to mouth-type sex and double penetration. She is billed as having the longest legs in the business (36" inseam).

Banks is currently signed with Vivid Entertainment (making her a "Vivid Girl"). She has been married to Bobby Vitale since 2003.
